Miguel Valenzuela
Miguel Valenzuela has been actively participating as a private equity investor in Mexico for more than 20 years. He is currently a partner and co-founder of EMX Capital where he led the acquisition of Consorcio Industrial Valsa and KDM Fire Systems where he participates in the Board of Directors.
Between 2004 and 2009, Miguel Valenzuela was a Director at The Carlyle Group where he actively participated in investments such as Loews Cinema (Cinemex), and led the acquisition and sale of Hispanic Teleservices Corporation and Maxi Prenda.
Before joining Carlyle, he worked at Banco Santander and Compass Group.
Mr. Valenzuela earned a Master of Administration (MBA) from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
He is an Independent Proprietary Director of Santander Asset Management México.
