Rodrigo Fonseca

Rodrigo Fonseca is co-founder of EMX Capital. He has more than 20 years of experience in the private equity industry in Mexico and 30 years in the international financial sector.

At EMX Capital, he has been responsible for investments in various sectors. He is currently a board member at Farmapiel (pharmaceutical), AI27 (security), Rio Bravo Systems (IT) and KDM Fire Systems (security vs. fires). He also led EMX Capital's first exit, of Autotransportes el Bisonte, which was completed in 2018. Previously, he served as a director at The Carlyle Group, where he led the acquisition, monitoring and successful exit of investments in Universidad Latinoamericana (education) and Arabela (direct sales).

Prior to joining Carlyle, he worked at Merrill Lynch, GE Capital and McKinsey & Co.

Mr. Fonseca received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac.
